Calling all Jack White fans!

So I was walking home from class, listening to my Ipod and The Raconteurs come up on shuffle. Right after their song is done, ironically The Dead Weather come on and I realize how much I absolutely love almost all the music Jack White is involved with. There is so much more to the musician than The White Stripes—so I decided to showcase some of his other projects.

A Detroit, Michigan native White has worked his way up to become a singer, song writer, producer and one of the best guitarists around. Jack White entered the music world professionally with the band Goober & the Peas, a cowpunk group that lasted into the 90s. In 1997, The White Stripes were formed with Jack White and his then wife Meg White. With The White Stripes, White has earned the most fame, especially with the hits, “Seven Nation Army,” and “Icky Thump”. While Meg and Jack were in the band together they oddly pretended to be siblings—even though they were at the time married.

In 2005, White formed The Raconteurs and since has released two albums, “Broken Boy Soilders,” which includes their debut single “Steady as She Goes” and “Consours of the Lonley” . The album fittingly received a Grammy for Best Rock Album.

Early this year, Jack White formed another band, The Dead Weather with Alison Mosshart from The Kills—another awesome band! Their debut album, “Horehound” has some killer tracks like, “I Cut Like a Buffalo.”

Aside from being an artist he also has his own independent record lable, Third Man Records, which produces a lot of The White Stripes, The Dead Weather and The Raconteurs albums. He even worked with Alicia Keys on a song called “Another Way To Die” for the new James Bond movie, Quantum Solice.

Needless to say, Jack White has produced, written and recorded some awesome, awesome music. We have featured Jack White’s music from each major band of his in all of our shows and he is always coming up with new musical projects so be on the look out!
