strangely sound
The Strange Boys have a striking effect on the listener, inciting a reaction comparable to seeing a ghost. The ghost means no harm but looks as if it belongs in another time, stripped right from the streets of Yesteryear.
And like that ghost, it is hard to actually pinpoint its exact description. Some people hear the Rolling Stones, others hear good ol’ country and some even hear garage pop.
With the creepy analogies and genre dilemma aside, it’s easy to agree on one thing: The Strange Boys make straight up great music.
These Austin city rockers released their first full-length The Strange Boys and Girls Club last year and have a sophomore record Get Brave due out later this month (Feb.23) on In The Red records. Get it here once it drops.

You might get a taste of the album as the band tours with Juliana Casablancas through November. They’ll be rolling to DC March 22 for two nights of shows at the 9:30 Club.
